I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
